Description
This one i have done back in 1987 when i was in carlisle highschool, PA.My first sculpture and most beloved one therefore..
Sorry couldnt find a sculpture section so since i first drew this pose then fleshed it out with clay i put it under drawing category, sorry guys..
Had to erase the background though, my room was a mess
hope you like it...
As always Comments and Crtiques are well appreciate.

if i find i will shoot some pictures of my soap sculptures (they are kinda explicit content but hey art is art right
about the leg, yeah you r certainly right...
by the time i realised it was too late because i had to cook and paint and get it ready for art class
your C&C r much appreciated

I'm a big Spidey fan, even more so of him in the symbiote suit (I even have a $150 statue of him in it
The biggest crit I have is that it's Spidey, but not in a Spidey pose....this to me reminds me of Thor or Captian America for some reason....granted it's hard to sculpt a mid-air swing, but perhaps next time you could chose a pose more fitting for this acrobat.
Still

he is one of my favorite comicbook characters and always will be
i agree with you this is a more fitting pose for thor or even a slashing, raged wolvie (who is also my fav - mr the best at what he does
small-serenity believe me i was more talented at htose days...HS years were my most productive years, that is artwise
so keep watching guys and thnx for the C&C s and all your votes

The pose is quite dynamic, but I agree it's not very "Spidey". Not a problem, though! Who's to say that Spidey never ran across a rooftop?
Your sculpture seems to lack a muscle structure, so Spidey looks sort of .... rubbery (reminds me of that "Fantastic Four" dude).
This reflects your skill level at the time, and judging by your recent drawings I'd say you've improved a lot in that area since then. So bring out your sculpting tools, get some clay, and have a fresh go at it !

since you asked i will post more sculptures i did about six-seven years ago out of ordinary bathsoaps
i have three more but a bit explicit content (since they r nudes)
about my spidey piece, yeah you are right and wrong at the same time i shoulda add the mucle structure to it and i coulda but i was running out of time because this piece i did very close to my graduation. so didtnot have that much time to play around it anymore..
but certainly will love to give it more shot nowadays..
thnx man
and i would love to see some work of yours too
so pls if you could send me some links for me to check out really appreciate it..

Can't critique on anything since I knew how hard it was...
I made sculptures myself in highschool. A soap thumb, a wax human head and a clay monkey (I forgot it was lost or collected by the teacher...).
I used my parent's scalpel and dental tools to carf detail. What tools did u use?
12/01/05 @612
i didnt want to use any tools
the soap ones i did about 8 years ago in 96 when i was in the army
